1. Lack of Sleep Can Cause Breakouts

Most enemies in the body cause inflammation. It could be cellular, muscular, or a whole host of other types, but the result is always the same — negative effects. In terms of your skin, inflammation can cause dryness, redness, and the dreaded breakout. This is why it’s always a great idea to make sure you have factored in enough sleep into your nightly routine. As best as you are able, don’t skip out on rest!

Fine lines and wrinkles happen for a variety of reasons, but getting the right amount of sleep helps your body to rid cleanse itself of many of the toxins which can end up causing skin to dry out and become brittle. Cells regenerate while we sleep, and just like a lack of sleep can cause breakouts, it will also likely make fine lines and wrinkles that much worse.

3. Blood Flow to Skin Cells

When you are at rest, your blood flows more readily throughout your body. As the transportation system your body uses to get important compounds from one spot to another, your blood flow matters a great deal. Without proper blood flow, your skin cells will have a much more difficult time regenerating, leading to all sorts of problems with your complexion.
